Description (Service) | Municipal and community archives for County of Perth (including lower tier municipalities) and City of Stratford. Collects, preserves, and makes available the documentary heritage of local governments, community organizations, businesses, schools, churches and families. |
Service Details
Heures | Reading Room open for drop-in research Tue-Fri, 10 am-4 pm. Drop-in hours extended to include Saturdays 10 am-4 pm for Jun-Aug. During drop-in hours microfilms and local history books can be accessed in the Reading Room. To use original records stored in the Collections Room, appointment required. Appointments available Mon-Sat 10 am-4 pm. All appointments should be made at least one week in advance. Appointments on Mon and Sat may need more than a week's notice to ensure staff availability. Staff work with researchers ahead of their appointments to identify relevant records. These records will be brought to the Reading Room on the morning of appointment and be at a work station. |

Honoraires | Exhibit Gallery is always free. Reading Room with staff to assist free for all who live in Perth County or Stratford. $5 daily admission fee for Reading Room for researchers who live outside of Perth County. Will provide an hour of free research by staff each year for those who are unable to visit in-person. Fees for photocopying and scans. See website for details. |
