| Description (Service) | Service club supports local projects, national and international prevention of sight loss and disaster relief through local fundraising. TV Bingo every Mon and Wed night 7 pm. May be able to consider individuals requests for assistance with purchase of medical items not covered, such as eye glasses, by sending a letter to the club. Huron Area Newcomer Fund - The Goderich Lions Club, in collaboration with various community organizations, have launched the Huron Area Newcomer Fund. The fund was formed to support immigrants and refugees (newcomers and newcomer families arriving and settling in Canada within the first 18 months) living in Huron County where there is a demonstrated need due to unforeseen and/or extraordinary costs which are beyond the capacity of supportive agencies or individuals to provide.
