For people who enjoy gardening and learning about plants, growing food and caring for the environment in our community.

Gardens: Forty plus Volunteers plan, plant and care for public gardens in Stratford, including Churchill Circle, the Iris Garden, the Public Library garden, the Pergola, Center St, Queensland, Bonnie Richardson and Catherine East. Beginners welcome.

Events: There are monthly meetings sharing garden advice with speakers, workshops, exhibits. Volunteers help at Annual events such as plant sales, seed and plant exchanges, garden strolls in member gardens and trips. Ticketed tour of private local gardens held first Sunday in July is our main fundraiser. Volunteer at Events!

Education: Members share gardening know-how with schools, groups and at community activities. An annual Bursary helps graduating students who are entering the horticulture, agriculture or environmental fields.

Discounts: Members receive discounts at garden centers and landscape companies locally and across Ontario.

Monthly meetings are in person and virtual.

All are open to the public.

Sep-May Meetings held first Monday of the month at the Army Navy Air Force Veterans Hall, 151 Lorne Ave E. Doors open at 6:30 pm Meeting at 7:15 followed by guest speaker. Prizes, swap table, garden advice, refreshments
