Description (Service)

Provides a voluntary and confidential registry of individuals who have a tendency to wander or pose a flight risk, combined with the inability to communicate and return to safety without assistance. This could include persons who are Autistic, on the Autism Spectrum, living with Dementia/Alzheimer's Disease or a related Neurocognitive Disorder .

The registry allows individuals, families, or caregivers to share important information in advance, such as communication needs, medical considerations, behavioural triggers, or emergency contacts. It helps officers respond more effectively during emergencies.

Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm
Areas Served West Grey
Eligibility Those eligible to be added to the Vulnerable Persons Registry may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Those residing in, attending school/daycare/work or frequent Municipality of West Grey
  • Those who are Autistic, on the Autism Spectrum, living with Dementia/Alzheimer's Disease or a related Neurocognitive Disorder .
  • Those who have a tendency to wander or pose a flight risk, combined with the inability to communicate and return to safety without assistance.
