Description (Service)

Community and Family Services provides the following: Food Bank assistance, emergency transportation, support available for one-time emergency medicine costs, emergency accommodations, vouchers for clothing and household items, advocacy and resource referrals, support offered to send up to 2 children to Salvation Army summer camp each year.  Those requiring OESP and Leap Program application assistance will be referred to Goderich office.


Other services provided during applicable or specific times throughout the year include: Christmas hampers, and is an intake agency for Huron Backpacks for Kids. Call office or see separate entries for full details.

Hours Tue and Fri 9:30 am-4:00 pm. Hours concurrent for all services.
Areas Served Bluewater ; Central Huron ; Huron East
Eligibility Services limited to those on Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), unemployed, low-income.
Application Call for an appointment. Must apply for services. Food bank requires ID, proof of address, income, rent/mortgage amount.
