Description
Description (Service) | Provides planned, short-term and overnight respite for children, youth and adults that is possible through the cooperation of community partnerships. Can give periods of relief or rest for caregivers, helps support family life, helps relieve stress, and fulfills emergency needs where possible. Respite care is individually designed to meet the needs of the caregiver and the dependent family member. Care can be provided in the family's own home or in the home of the respite provider. Respite care person will become interactive and involved and share in the daily activities of the respite family. An in-depth screening and home study process is required of the respite family and conducted by either the Respite coordinator or one of the participating agencies The home study process will include:
